Babich Sergey Alekseevich
Genus. in 1939 in the village. Rogachev, Baranovsky district (Novograd-Volynsky), Zhytomyr region; Ukrainian; carpenter He worked as a carpenter at the Zhitomir furniture factory. Lived in Zhitomir. Arrested 04/13/1960. Sentenced by the Zhitomir Regional Court on May 26, 1960 under Art. 7 part 1 of the Law of December 25, 1958 to 3 years of labor camp. Released on April 13, 1963. Arrested on September 30, 1963 for leaflets criticizing Khrushchev. Sentenced by the Rivne Regional Court on February 19, 1964 under Art. 62 part 2, 64 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 10 years of labor camp. He served his sentence in Dubravlaga. In 1964, he was convicted by the Torbeevsky District Court of the Mord ASSR under Art. 188 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (“escape”) for 3 years with the addition of part of the unserved term, a total of 10 years (of which 3 years in prison). He served his sentence in Vladimir prison. In 1965, he was convicted by the Vladimir City Court under Art. 188 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR for 3 years with the addition of part of the unserved term, a total of 10 years. Released on January 27, 1975. He was again sentenced (12/13/1976) to 15 years of special regime, of which the first five years were imprisonment, formally for illegal possession of weapons, but in fact for attempting to escape from the USSR. Until the end of the 1980s, he was in camps on false criminal charges. Released 07/07/1989. Died on August 24, 2016 in Zhitomir.
