Author of letters from Petrograd-Leningrad to relatives who found themselves in exile. The letters were published as an audiobook "Native Foreign Land. Letters from Evgenia Svinina from Petrograd-Leningrad to Paris", 2008.

She died in besieged Leningrad during the Great Patriotic War and was buried at the Serafimovskoe cemetery in a mass grave.
