During the Civil War, he was a half-company commander in the Bulak-Balakhovich detachment; in 1922 he returned to the USSR from Latvia. In 1929 he was under investigation on suspicion of assisting in crossing the border. Before his last arrest, he lived in Pskov, worked as a freight forwarder and supply manager at the Znamya Truda plant (according to other sources, without specific occupation). Arrested on 17. (according to other sources, 16.) 06.1932, accused of “c/r activities and espionage.” Sentenced by a resolution of the Collegium of the Prosecutor's Office of the OGPU in the Leningrad Military District dated September 15, 1932 under Art. 58-4, 6 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in labor camp. In custody on Solovki. Sentenced by a resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/14/1937 to VMN. Shot on November 1, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated 01/07/1959 by the Military Tribunal of the Leningrad Military District
