Genus. in 1908 in St. Petersburg; Russian, from the nobility; non-partisan. Graduated from the Institute of Art History (Zubovsky Institute, 1929); art critic and restoration artist, specialized in medieval frescoes. From 1930 he lived with his family in Novgorod (Kremlin Museum, Nikitinsky building); Researcher at Novgorod State University museum (head of the industrial department), member of the section of scientists. Arrested on January 22, 1933 in a group case of the Novgorod Society of Antiquity Lovers. Sentenced by a resolution of the OGPU Collegium dated 05/07/1933 under Art. 58-10, 11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to death with replacement by 10 years of labor camp. In custody in Ukhtpechlag, he tried to escape, after an investigation he was sent to Solovki. In the fall of 1937 he was transferred to prison regime. Sentenced by a resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 to VMN. Shot on October 27, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated on April 24, 1989 by the Leningrad Prosecutor's Office.
