Sichko Petr Vasilievich

Genus. in 1926 in the village. Vitvitsa, Dolinsky district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He fought in the UPA “Cherny” gang, then studied at Chernivtsi University, where he created a nationalist youth organization. 01/12/1947 arrested, sentenced to death, then the sentence was commuted to 25 years in prison. 01/12/1957 amnestied, studied at the Lvov Polytechnic in 1959-1962, expelled, in 1973 graduated from the Lvov Agricultural Institute in absentia. Lived in the village. Dolina, worked as an engineer-economist at a factory, participated in the dissident movement, a member of the Ukrainian Christian Democratic Front, and from 04/30/1978 - the Ukrainian Helsinki Group. Arrested on July 5, 1979 and convicted under Art. 187-1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 3 years of penal colony. Arrested on May 26, 1982. Sentenced on July 19, 1982 under Art. 187-1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 3 years of penal colony. Died on 07/05/2010 in Riga.
