Smirnov Dmitry Alexandrovich

Born in 1870 in the village of Norskoye, Yaroslavsky District, Yaroslavl Region; graduated from the Yaroslavl Theological Seminary. Priest in the village of Norskoye in 1902-1915, since 1915 - priest in Yaroslavl. Lived in Yaroslavl, Kooperativnaya St., Bldg. 4, Apt. 1. Was convicted of resisting the confiscation of church valuables. Arrested on 31.01.1930 for connections with exiled bishops, participated in collecting money to support exiled clergy. Sentenced   On March 2, 1930, a troika of the OGPU PP for the Ivanovo Region sentenced him to imprisonment in a concentration camp for 5 years under Articles 58-10 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. He was rehabilitated on May 24, 1989.
