Sokolov Vadim Nikolaevich

Hanged himself in the forest in February 1973. Pirogov S.K. I didn't know him. One of Pirogov’s acquaintances S.K. found a suicide jacket, in the pocket of which he found and handed over to Pirogov a notebook with the deceased’s critical remarks about the shortcomings of social and economic relations in the USSR, Sokolov’s suicide letter to his son and a request to give him this book. Pirogov took upon himself the search for Sokolov’s son and wrote to V. Sokolov’s sister about the find. Answering, she spoke disapprovingly of the moral qualities and lifestyle of the deceased. In the second letter, Pirogov sharply condemned her for this. Both letters from Pirogov were transferred to the Arkhangelsk prosecutor's office.
