Wall (Sten) Anna Dmitrievna
Born 19.12.1896 in St. Petersburg; Russian; higher education; no n. Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Art History (1926) in the specialty "art historian and museum expert on ancient Russian art". In 1924-1933 she worked as a nurse for the protection of motherhood and infancy; in 1929-1933 - an artist-copyist at the State Hermitage. Arrested in 1933, accused of "belonging to a religious sect", sentenced to 10 years in a labor camp. In custody in Belbaltlag, where she worked as an artist on the construction of the Tuloma Hydroelectric Power Station, then in the exhibition committee of the BelBaltic Cultural Complex for the preparation of exhibits for the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition. Active in 1942. In 1943-1946. worked as an artist at the Tyulkinsky rafting roadstead (Solikamsk district, Molotov region (now Perm region). In 1946-1952 - artist at the Novgorod Special Scientific Restoration Production Workshop (SNRPM). Restorer of the Church of the Savior on Nereditsa and the Nativity Cathedral in the Ferapontov Monastery (copies of frescoes). Arrested on 14.12.1948, released with the case dismissed on 12.04.1949. Died on 27.11.1952 in Veliky Novgorod. Buried at the Rozhdestvenskoye Cemetery in Veliky Novgorod.
