According to widespread incorrect information - Son of Sulmov D.E. Elena Bubnova's husband. At the time of his arrest, he was a war invalid, an assistant director at Mosfilm (he entered VGIK, but did not pass: he told Grigory Alexandrov during the exam that he did not like his comedies). Sentenced: OSO under the NKVD of the USSR on March 3, 1945, case: 58-10, 58-11. Received 10 years with confiscation of property. During interrogations he suffered lung injuries. Died in the camp.
