Daughter of A.S. Bubnov, People's Commissar of Education of the RSFSR. In 1940 she entered the art history department of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (MSU). Arrested in 1944. She spent more than seven years in prison, then was sent into lifelong exile in the vicinity of Barnaul. In 1956 she returned to Moscow, and was then rehabilitated. Since 1982 member of the Union of Artists (US).
