Suleimenov Olzhas Omarovich

Definition: Poet, literary critic, Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, People's Writer of the Kazakh SSR (1990), social and political figure of Kazakhstan, diplomat. He gained fame as the author of amateur linguistic studies, in particular, devoted to the Turkic elements of “The Tale of Igor’s Campaign.” Rejected by the scientific community, Suleimenov's ideas gained popularity in the Turkic world, also due to the political campaign against him during Soviet times.
