Genus. in 1889 in the city of Troitsk, Orenburg province. In 1915 he graduated from the Theological Academy in Petrograd. Since 1917 he has served in the Alexander Nevsky Lavra. In 1922-1925. - Bishop of Ladoga, vicar of the Petrograd diocese. Arrested 06/01/1922. By resolution of the GPU dated January 4, 1923, he was sentenced to exile in Ust-Tsilma, Arkhangelsk province (later changed to Turkestan). After his release in 1925, he returned to Leningrad. Arrested 12/19/1925. On April 29, 1926, OS KOGPU was sentenced to 3 years of exile in Siberia on charges of “distributing literature of a counter-revolutionary nature.” Since 1930 - Bishop of Blagoveshchensk. Arrested in 1931. Sentenced by the OS Kogpu on December 2, 1931 to 3 years in a concentration camp for conducting Soviet propaganda. He was imprisoned in Belbaltlag, in 1933 he received shell shock, was released, and settled in Staraya Russa. Since 1933 - Bishop of Starorussky, vicar of the Novgorod diocese. Arrested 09/21/1934. The case was dismissed, released on November 14, 1934. Since 1937 - Archbishop of Vinnitsa. Arrested 10/29/1937. Sentenced to VMN. Shot in November 1937. Burial place - Vinnitsa. Rehabilitated on January 16, 1989. Rehabilitated on October 24, 1991 (in the 1925 case).
