Baranovsky Petr Avgustovich
Catholic priest
Genus. in 1882 in the city of Orsha, Mogilev province; Belarusian; from the nobles; non-partisan. He graduated from the theological seminary and theological academy in St. Petersburg, ordained in 1906. Since 1908 he served in Belarusian and Ukrainian parishes, vicar of the parish in Nezhin. Arrested on 04/26/1929, by a resolution of the OGPU PP dated 09/20/1929 sentenced under Art. 58-4 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in a concentration camp. Imprisoned in Solovki (arrived 10/16/1929). In 1930 he was transferred to the Anzer camp. Arrested on July 5, 1932 in a group case involving Catholic clergy. Temporarily transferred to Kem, returned to the Solovetsky camp. On 03/03/1936 he was at the Kremlin camp. Transferred to prison regime on 02/21/1937. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 3, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated.
