Genus. in 1893 in the village of Leppävirta, Kuopiovsky volost (Finland), Finn; b/p. Arrested in 1920 in the case of Finnish communists (opposition), acquitted; in 1923 he was arrested for smuggling and, by order of the KhKVD, was exiled to Solovki for 3 years. Since January 1926 - head of the Solovetsky nursery for valuable fur-bearing animals. Arrested 09/21/1937; sentenced by the Commission of the NKVD and the USSR Prosecutor's Office on December 20, 1937 under Art. 58-7-6 to VMN; shot on December 28, 1937. Burial place - st. Bear Mountain (Sandormokh). Rehabilitated by VT LVO on April 23, 1971.
