In 1945, she met the American diplomat Jackson Tate, with whom she gave birth to a daughter in January 1946 (Tate had already left the USSR by that time). Arrested on December 27, 1946. She was sentenced for “espionage” to 25 years in high-security camps (replaced by imprisonment in the Vladimir prison) and confiscation of property. Released in 1955
