Genus. in 1895 in Yaroslavl; higher education; scientist. He graduated from high school and in 1914 entered the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Moscow University. Since 1915 he took part in the revolutionary movement, since 1917 - a member of the RSDLP /b/, a delegate to the VI Party Congress with an advisory vote. In 1921–1927 - assistant A.V. Lunacharsky. Member of the Board, Deputy Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Department of the Supreme Economic Council. In 1925 he graduated from the electrical department of the Moscow Higher Technical University named after. Bauman. In 1925–1928 - Director of TsAGI. He worked as chairman of the Energy Center and director of the Moscow ultra-high pressure thermal power plant. Arrested 05/01/1937. He was held in Lubyanka, Lefortovo and Butyrka prisons. Sentenced by a Special Meeting of the NKVD to 8 years in labor camp. 01/05/1938 arrived in Magadan. Sent to the Maldyak mine (Kolyma), in the winter of 1938 - to the Chai-Urya mine. In 1939, a new case was opened, but due to lack of evidence it was closed. He stayed in Kolyma until May 1945. After liberation, he worked as a construction manager for a power plant in the city of Urusy (Bashkiria) in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He was arrested again at the beginning of 1949. He served several months in prison in Ufa and, on the old charges, was sent into indefinite exile in the village. Teya, North Yenisei district, Krasnoyarsk region. There he worked as an engineer at a power plant. Released at the end of 1954. Rehabilitated on July 23, 1955. After rehabilitation he returned to Moscow. Since 1956 - Deputy Head of the Design and Expert Department of the USSR Ministry of Power Plants. In 1962–1978 - Chief Expert of the Department for Expertise of Projects and Estimates of the Ministry of Energy and Power Plants of the USSR. He defended his Ph.D. thesis, published a number of scientific papers, and wrote memoirs about his stay in the Gulag. Since 1978 – retired. He died in November 1995 in Moscow at the age of 100. He was buried at the Rogozhskoe cemetery.
