Born in 1926 in Leningrad. In 1937, after her father was arrested, she was exiled with her mother and sister to the village of Muromtsevo in Omsk Oblast. After finishing school in 1944, she entered the Kazan Aviation Institute without exams. In 1946, she transferred to the Leningrad Institute of Aviation Instrumentation, which she graduated from in 1951. She got married in 1950. She worked her entire life in shipbuilding, at the Central Research Institute "Elektropribor". Retired in 1986.
