Chokin Shafik Chokinovich

Definition: Soviet and Kazakh energy scientist. Founder of energy science in Kazakhstan. Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 6th convocation, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Union of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 6th convocation, in 1964-1967 President of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan. Founder and first director of the Kazakh Energy Research Institute. Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR (1954), Doctor of Technical Sciences (1954), Professor (1956), People's Hero of Kazakhstan (1996).
