Genus. in 1877 in the city of Kirillov, Cherepovets province. Lived in Leningrad, K. Liebknecht Ave., 98, apt. 54. Teacher of topography at the Pedagogical Institute. Herzen. Arrested on October 26, 1937 by the NKVD in the Leningrad Region, accused under Articles 58-6, 58-8 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Sentenced by a resolution of the NKVD Commission and the USSR Prosecutor dated December 11, 1937 to VMN. Shot on December 20, 1937 in Leningrad. Rehabilitated by the ruling of the Leningrad Military Tribunal dated August 20, 1958.

10/16/2016 at house No. 98 on Bolshoy Prospekt on the Petrograd side in memory of N.P. Bashnin. A personal memorial sign was installed as part of the "Last Address" project.
