Definition: Soviet and Russian graphic artist, illustrator, teacher, professor. Academician of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1953). Corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the GDR (1970). People's Artist of the USSR (1967). Laureate of the Lenin Prize (1980), the Stalin Prize of the second degree (1943) and the State Prize of Russia (1997).
