Genus. 07/14/1882 (1879) in Orel; German; from employees; higher education: graduated from the Oryol Cadet Corps (1898), chemical engineering faculty of the Polytechnic Institute in Braunschweig (1904), participant in the revolutionary movement. After the revolution, he held government and party positions: in economic work at the Supreme Economic Council, where he was involved in the chemical industry (1920-1921), plenipotentiary representative of the Ukrainian SSR in Berlin (1921-1925), “where he signed a mutual recognition agreement with Germany, an agreement with Greece on behalf of the USSR ", Plenipotentiary Representative of the USSR in Austria (1925), headed the Supreme Economic Council of the Ukrainian SSR (1925-1926). Arrested on May 16, 1929 in Armavir; sentenced 06/05/1929 to 3 years of exile; served in Kzyl-Orda (Kazakhstan). He worked as the head of the chemical department at the Sanitary and Bacteriological Institute. In exile he was again arrested on October 30, 1930 and on the same day sentenced to exile to Central Asia for the remainder of his term. In July 1932 he was released and transferred to live in Orel. Arrested on January 20, 1933 in connection with the case of an illegal counter-revolutionary Trotskyist group; 02/04/1933 sentenced by the OSO at the Kogpu USSR to deportation to Astrakhan for 3 years. There is no exact information about his further fate. According to some reports, he died after liberation on February 19, 1936 or was shot in 1937. Rehabilitated in the 1933 case in 1989.
