In the same year he went abroad, where in 1907 he completed his education at the University of Berlin, having received a doctorate in philology, then he switched to the Mensheviks. Upon returning to Russia, he entered the law faculty of Kharkov University. From 1910 - in Moscow. For a number of years he worked in cooperation. Since 1915 - secretary of the editorial board of the magazine "Cooperation". After October 1917 - an active member of the Moscow organization of the RSDLP. In 1921 - in Kharkov, a student at Kharkov University. Arrested 02/25/1921; was in the Butyrka prison, then in the Orlovsky central, where he participated in a hunger strike for many days; by the decision of the Presidium of the Cheka of September 10, 1921, he was released from custody due to illness on a written undertaking not to leave; expelled from the university, sent to his parents, under the supervision of the police. In 1922 he was exiled abroad, he lived in Germany, France, from 1941 in the USA. Died April 20, 1965 at Fort Collins, Colorado.
