In 1919 he temporarily ruled the Kyiv Metropolis. Arrested in 1922, in 1922-1923. - expelled from Kyiv along with other Ukrainian bishops. From April to June 1923 he was imprisoned in the Butyrka prison in Moscow. Since 1925 - Archbishop of Tobolsk. He died in 1932 in Tobolsk.
