In 1949 he lived in Leningrad, Candidate of Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute. Arrested 09/26/1949, charged under Art. 58-10 part 1, 58-11, 182 part 4 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR; sentenced by the OSO under the Ministry of State Security of the USSR on 02/04/1950 to 8 years in labor camp. Rehabilitated by the Presidium of the Leningrad City Court on April 20, 1956.
