Genus. in 1881 in the village of Popovka, Tsarskoye Selo district, St. Petersburg province; Finn, from the peasantry; in 1900 he graduated from the Kolpan Teachers' Seminary. In 1902–1906 he was a clerk in the army, then a teacher of the Law of God in Lembolovo. In 1911–1915 – kister organist in the church of Lisino Ave., from September 1915 to May 1918 – a military official in Persia and Turkey, in 1918–1924 – teacher at the Kaybolovsky school, then from 1924 to February 1925 – again kister organist in Lisino . Arrested on October 15, 1924 for religious speech, released after 3 months. From February 1925 to 1936 - pastor of the Slavyanka Ave. Church near Leningrad. From 1930 - treasurer, in 1931-1937 - secretary, and from the summer of 1937 - chairman of the Ingria Supreme Church Council. Arrested on February 13, 1930 for agitating against collectivization. Sentenced on 04/06/1930 to 3 years of exile in the Northern Territory; By resolution of the Troika PP of the OGPU in the Leningrad Military District on June 14, 1930, he was sentenced to imprisonment for 4 months. Arrested on January 31, 1933 in connection with abuses on the Bolshie Paritsa collective farm in the Krasnogvardeisky district and for connections with foreign countries; On 05/19/1933 the case was dismissed and he was released. From 09/01/1936 to September 1937 he served in the Leningrad Finnish Church of St. Mary. Lived in the village of Popovka, Slutsk district. Arrested 01(13?).09.1937 on charges of espionage. Sentenced by the Commission of the NKVD and the USSR Prosecutor's Office on November 10, 1937 under Art. 58-6-10-11 Criminal Code of the RSFSR to VMN. Shot on November 15, 1937 in Leningrad. Rehabilitated by the conclusion of the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Leningrad Military District dated May 4, 1989.
