Varshavsky Konstantin Markovich

Genus. in 1893 in Tsarskoye Selo, St. Petersburg province; Jew; Higher education: graduated from the Faculty of Law of Petrograd University (1914). In 1949 he lived in Leningrad, Candidate of Economic Sciences, worked as a consultant at the GPB named after. M.E. Saltykova-Shchedrin; arrested 08/02/1949; sentenced by the OS under the USSR MGB on December 16, 1950 under Art. 58-10 part 1, 58-13, 58-11 to 10 years in labor camp with confiscation of property. He served in Taishet, Irkutsk region, in Ozerlag. The case was terminated by a decision of the Central Commission for the Review of Cases of Persons Convicted of Counter-Revolutionary Crimes; on December 27, 1954, he was released from custody and returned to Leningrad. 03/12/1955 reinstated as chief librarian of the State Public Library based on the decision of the Kubyshevsky District People's Court. He died in Leningrad in 1981 and was buried at the Preobrazhenskoye Cemetery. Rehabilitated by the St. Petersburg Prosecutor's Office on February 15, 1993.
