Volga Germans deported to Tomsk Oblast (Decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR No. 21/160 of 28.08.1941)
The family was exiled in 1941 from the village of Mainberg, Zelmansky District, Saratov Region, to the village of Novo-Kropotkino, Tomsk Region. The final point of their journey was the village of Krugloe and the Put Ilyicha collective farm. The children begged for alms. They worked on the collective farm. Local residents helped as much as they could. The exiles died of cold and hunger.
