Genus. in 1902 in Bratsigovo, Bulgaria. He studied at the Music Academy in Sofia. In 1926 he came to the USSR to study and joined the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). In 1930 he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, in 1931–1934. in graduate school at the Institute of Red Professorships, defended his dissertation. In 1935–1938 worked at Goslitizdat as head. sector of Western classics. In 1938 he was admitted to the Writers' Union of the USSR. Arrested on February 24, 1938 on “suspicion of espionage.” Sentenced on May 14, 1938 by a special meeting of the NKVD “for counter-revolutionary activities” to 8 years in a labor camp. Imprisoned in the SVITlag of the NKVD. From 1938 to the autumn of 1941 at the Razvedchik gold mine (Orotukan), from the winter of 1941 at logging. In July 1941 he was transferred to the Kheta mine, then to Zolotisty. From autumn 1942 to August 1945 - in the cultural brigade (EHF YUGLAG), flutist in the orchestra. Sentenced on November 26, 1945 by the Military Tribunal of the NKVD troops at Dalstroy under Art. 58-10 part 2, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years of labor camp and 5 years of disqualification with confiscation of property. He worked at the mine. Chkalov, then transferred to Adygaly for road work. Died in custody in February or March 1946. Rehabilitated 02/19/1955 by the Military Tribunal of the Far Eastern Military District in the case of 1945, 01/02/1956 by the Presidium of the Moscow City Court in the case of 1938.
