Kurilov Vladimir Viktorovich
Commander of the 24th Division of the 3rd Brigade, Captain 3rd Rank
Born in 1898 in Vladivostok, Far Eastern Territory, in the family of a military engineer; Russian; no military registration; graduated from the Naval Academy in 1918, special advanced training courses for command personnel ( SKUKS) in 1925. In the Red Navy since 1918. Participant in the Civil War as part of the Baltic Fleet. In 1938 - commander of the 24th submarine division of the 3rd brigade, captain of the 3rd rank. Lived in Leningrad. On 29.01.1938 he was discharged into the reserve. Arrested by the Special Department of the NKVD of the Baltic Fleet on 04.02.1938, accused of participating in a counter-revolutionary organization, espionage for England . Sentenced by the Special Department of the NKVD of the USSR on 23.07.1940 as a socially dangerous element to 5 years in a labor camp. Released on 08.04.1943. Sent to the disposal of the Gurevsky City Military Commissariat (Kazakhstan), registered as a private. Recognized as fit for non-combatant service and sent as a laborer to the 112th railway construction. Reinstated in the Navy from July 23, 1943. In 1944 - head of the organizational and planning department of the BP Department of the Danube Flotilla Headquarters. Rehabilitated by the determination of the LVO VT dated July 24, 1957.
