Born in 1924 in the village of Verkhnyaya Mukhanovka , Trosnyansky District, Kursk Region. Drafted into the army by the Trosnyansky RVC in 1943, private. In 1944, he served in long-range aviation, the unit was in the Khmelnytsky (Kamenets-Podolsk) region. Arrested in August 1944. Sentenced 03.09.1944 By the Military Tribunal of Long-Range Aviation under Art. 54-10 Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR (counterrevolutionary propaganda and agitation) to 10 years of imprisonment. Imprisoned in Pechora. Released in 1954. Rehabilitated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Komi ASSR with the removal of the conviction in 1964. In 1985 he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class.
