Genus. in 1904 in the city of Verny in the family of a craftsman; Jew; member of the RCP(b)–VKP(b) since 1923; higher education: from 1922 - student in the mechanical department of Turkestan University, in 1923 transferred to the mechanical faculty of PPI, 04/14/1930 expelled from the institute for failure to register a lecture book. He worked on the construction of an automobile plant in Nizhny Novgorod and, at the request of the chairman of the Supreme Economic Council Commission for the construction of the plant, received the title of engineer at LSMI. He studied with A.N. Tupolev under Henry Ford. In 1937 he lived in Gorky, worked as the head of the wheel shop of GAZ named after. V.M.Molotov; arrested on 08/04/1937, sentenced by the NKVD OS on 12/23/1940 to 5 years in labor camp; served in Sevzheldorlag No. 9/13-335, then worked in TsKB-29 (“Tupolev Sharashka”), in a special message from Beria to Stalin it was said about him: “A highly qualified industrial engineer. Having extensive knowledge of various methods of stamping parts in the automotive industry, he successfully transferred his experience to aircraft production, which greatly simplified and accelerated the production of aircraft in mass production.” Released early with his criminal record expunged on August 18, 1943. In 1963 he lived in Moscow. Rehabilitated in 1957.
