  • May 10, 1940 - underwent sanitary and medical treatment in the city of Sokal (doc. 3);
  • May 14, 1940 - a personal search was conducted, the prisoners’ belongings and valuables were handed over for storage at Prison No. 1, Lvov (doc. 4, 5);
  • July 8, 1940 - is in prison No. 1 in Lviv (doc. 6);
  • September 20 – December 1, 1940 – detention in the internal prison of the UGB NKVD of the Ukrainian SSR (Kyiv) (doc. 7, 8);
  • December 6, 1940 - the case of the defendant Khudzik Mechislav Karlovich was sent for consideration to a special meeting of the NKVD of the USSR (doc. 9);
  • August 29, 1941 – received a Certificate of Amnesty for a Polish citizen and a pass to leave prison, Tomsk (doc. 11, 12).

The file was discovered by chance in the damp basement of Pretrial Detention Center No. 1, some 80 years after its establishment. It is in poor condition, its pages eaten away by fungus and falling apart. Museum staff attempted to dry the documents and make copies.

A native of Krakow, a Pole, a citizen of Poland, married, an agronomist by profession. Lived in Sokal, Lviv region, without a fixed occupation. Arrested on April 9, 1940 and charged under Article 54-13 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR. He was held in Prison No. 1 in Lviv, in the internal prison of the UGB NKVD of the Ukrainian SSR (Kyiv). On December 6, 1940, his case was sent for consideration to the Special Conference of the NKVD of the USSR. With the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, he was transferred deep into the country, to Prison No. 3 of the NKVD NSO (Tomsk). On August 28, 1941, on the basis of the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated August 12, 1941, he was amnestied as a former Polish citizen. On August 29, 1941, he received a pass and was released from custody. His subsequent fate is unknown.
