Ushakov-Poskochin Maxim Vladimirovich
Born in 1893 in the village of Kongalema, Novoladozhsky District, St. Petersburg Governorate. Graduated from the Higher Artistic and Technical Institute in Leningrad (formerly the Academy of Arts) in 1924. Worked in the field of book graphics, designing over 220 publications. Arrested on July 6, 1941, in Leningrad. The reason for his arrest was a denunciation by a professional informant, not an artist, received by the State Security Service in May 1940. He was under investigation in Minusinsk. Sentenced on May 16, 1942. By a special meeting of the NKVD of the USSR, under Article 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, he was sentenced to 8 years in a labor camp. He died in the Karaganda labor camp on February 25, 1943 (according to other sources, on February 27, 1943 or March 1, 1943). He was rehabilitated by the Judicial Collegium of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR on May 18, 1956.
