Genus. in 1893 in the village. Kongalema, Novoladozhsky district, St. Petersburg province. In 1924 he graduated from the Higher Art and Technical Institute in Leningrad (formerly the Academy of Arts). He worked in the field of book graphics and designed over 220 publications. Arrested on July 6, 1941 in Leningrad. The reason was the denunciation of a professional sexot not from among artists, which was received by the GB authorities in May 1940. Sentenced by a Special Meeting of the NKVD of the USSR on May 16, 1942 to 8 years in a labor camp under Art. 58-10. He died in the Karaganda ITL on 02/25/1943 (according to other data, 02/27/1943, 03/01/1943). Rehabilitated in 1956
