Arrested on December 14, 1946 in Berlin for active subversive espionage work. Military tribunal of the Soviet military administration in Germany on August 18, 1947 under Art. 58-4 of the Criminal Code, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison in a correctional labor camp. Based on the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated September 28, 1955, he was released early on September 5, 1955. Repatriated to his homeland on September 10, 1955.
