Sentenced by the Military Tribunal to military unit 48240 on 09/01/1953 under Art. 58-2 of the Criminal Code to 10 years in prison in a correctional labor camp. Based on the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated September 28, 1955, he was released from prison and transferred to the government of the GDR in Berlin on February 17, 1956.
