Genus. in 1939. Military pilot. In September 1976, on an outdated biplane, he crossed the USSR border with Iran, where he asked for political asylum. In October 1976 it was handed over to the Soviet authorities. Sentenced under Art. 57 part 1 (“Treason to the Motherland”) of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan SSR to 12 years in prison. He served his sentence in the Chistopol prison, in the Perm-35, Perm-36 and Perm-37 camps.
