In prison in Kraslag, where he worked as a doctor in the psychiatry department. In March 1954 he was rehabilitated. In 1958 he graduated from clinical residency, in 1962 he defended his candidate's dissertation, and in 1972 - his doctoral dissertation. Member of the Memorial Society since 1992. Died in St. Petersburg on March 6, 2013.
