Koestler Artur

Definition: British writer and journalist, native of Hungary, of Jewish origin. He is best known for the novel Blinding Darkness (1940) about the era of the Great Terror in the USSR in the second half of the 1930s. Wrote articles for the Encyclopædia Britannica.
