Kolosov Evgeniy Yakovlevich
Genus. 01/05/1839 in Nerchinsk, Trans-Baikal Territory (today - Chita region) in the family of an official. He graduated from the Omsk Siberian Cadet Corps in 1856. On June 16, 1856 he was promoted from sergeant major to ensign of the corps. He served in the horse-artillery batteries of the Siberian, and then the Trans-Baikal Cossack troops, where he rose to the rank of officer. Having become close to the Siberian community, he decided to quit military service. He was dismissed without rank and long-service pension. He worked as a gold miner, and then moved to Tomsk, where he opened a boarding school for boys. In Tomsk he joined Potanin’s circle. He was arrested on May 23, 1865 and was transferred to Omsk prison. Sentenced to three months' arrest. After his release he got married. In the mid-1880s he moved with his family to Tomsk. Died around 1903
