Genus. in 1881 in St. Petersburg; Russian; nobleman; higher education, lawyer; non-partisan. (Nephew of the writer V.G. Korolenko.) Graduated from Moscow University (1904) and the Institute of Soviet Law (1925). Until 1917, a sworn attorney, from 1917 a teacher at the 15th Soviet school, in 1924–1925 a teacher at the Institute of National Economy, in 1930 an economist at the State University. joint stock company "Northern Way Committee". Since 1924, member of the Moscow Provincial College of Defenders. In May 1928, he acted as a defense attorney in the trial of the case “On the economic counter-revolution in the Donbass” (“Shakhty case”) in Moscow. Arrested in May 1930 on charges of “c/r Trotskyist activity.” Sentenced by a resolution of the Kogpu dated June 13, 1930 under Art. 58-8, 4, 11 of the Criminal Code to execution with replacement by 10 years in a concentration camp. While imprisoned in Solovki (since 1931), he was in charge of the weather station in 1935–1936. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 he was sentenced to VMN.
