Arrested in the “Finnish General Staff case” (charge: “member of a counter-revolutionary terrorist group in the Pudozh region”, who developed “a detailed plan for the murder of Comrade Stalin and an armed raid on the Congress of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks)”). By a resolution of the troika of PP OGPU in the Leningrad Military District dated 05/07/1932, he was sentenced to death, commuted to 10 years in a penitentiary labor camp. In custody on Solovki.
