Appointed assistant to the head of the state farm in April 1930, removed from office in October 1930. On March 15-16, 1931, by a visiting session of the Leningrad Regional Court, he was sentenced under Article 112 Part 1 of the Criminal Code to imprisonment for a term of 4 years without loss of rights, with service in general places of detention. By a ruling of the Cassation Board of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR dated May 31, 1931, the verdict was overturned and the case was dismissed.
