Kreyter Vladimir Mikhailovich

Genus. in 1897 in Kuznetsk, Tomsk province, in the family of a teacher. In 1923 he lived in Leningrad, a student at the Mining Institute; arrested 01/13/1923; 02/21/1923 released from custody; On 02/23/1923 the case was closed. In 1928 he graduated from the Mining Institute; in 1929 he was on a business trip to the USA and Mexico. In 1932–1949 he taught at the Moscow Geological Prospecting Institute and the Moscow Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold. In 1949 he lived in Moscow, chairman (general director) of the technical council of the Ministry of Geology; arrested 03/23/1949; sentenced by the OSO at the USSR MGB on October 28, 1950 under Art. 58 (“Krasnoyarsk case of geologists”) to 25 years in labor camp; imprisoned in Krasnoyarsk in OTB-1 of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs (geological department of Yeniseistroy); in 1953, after a stroke, he was transferred to a camp hospital. In 1954 he was released, returned to Moscow, taught at the Moscow Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold and at the Russian Peoples' Friendship University. Died in Moscow in 1966; buried at Vvedensky cemetery. Rehabilitated 03/31/1954
