Genus. in 1892; Jew; higher education; privat-docent; member of the RSDLP since 1906. He was a member of the RSDLP Committee of the South of Russia and a member of the Central Committee of the Bund. In 1921 he was arrested twice. Arrested in 1923, in April 1923 sentenced to exile in Central Asia (Tashkent). 09/07/1923 sentenced by the NKVD Commission on Administrative Expulsions to 3 years of deportation to the Turukhansk Territory; by a resolution of the OS KOGPU dated 07/04/1924 he was sentenced to imprisonment in a concentration camp for the remainder of the term (to serve his sentence together with his wife, V.Ya. Arkavina, he served in the Suzdal political isolation ward); by the resolution of the OS KOGPU dated July 24, 1925, he was sentenced to deportation to Central Asia (to Tashkent). Arrested in Tashkent on July 23, 1926; exiled to Kyrgyzstan, where he lived until 1929. In 1930 he was arrested and sentenced to 3 years of exile in Petropavlovsk (Kazakhstan). In 1934-35 he lived in Kharkov. In 1935 he was expelled from Kharkov. Arrested in 1937 and sentenced to death. In 1938 he was shot in Kursk prison.
