Grigoriev (Krahmalnikov) Rafail Grigorievich
Critic, publicist, revolutionary (Socialist Revolutionary, then Menshevik)
Genus. in 1883 (1880? 1889?) in the town of Radzivilov, Kremenets district, Volyn province; Jew; social democrat; friend, comrade-in-arms and like-minded person of M. Gorky and V. Korolenko. Arrested in 1906 for belonging to a political party and in 1908 exiled to Yalutorovsk, Tobolsk province, he published a lot in the Tyumen newspaper “Bulletin of Western Siberia”. After 1917 he actively collaborated in World Literature. Arrested 10/10/1922; sentenced by the Administrative Expulsion Commission on May 26, 1923 to 3 years in prison; at the end of his term, he was exiled to Central Asia (according to other sources, on May 26, 1923 he was sentenced to deportation for 3 years to Turkestan). In exile - in Tashkent and Samarkand. In 1926 he was arrested in Tashkent (according to other sources - in Samarkand); sentenced by the OS KOGPU on November 5, 1926 to deportation to Arkhangelsk for 3 years. In 1937 he lived in Arkhangelsk, worked as a planner-economist in the Glavkonserv office; arrested 04/14/1937; sentenced by the Troika at the NKVD in the Arkhangelsk region on December 29, 1937 to 10 years in labor camp. In 1941 – prisoner of the Oneglag NKVD; arrested 05/26/1941; By resolution of the Operations Department of the Oneglag NKVD dated September 13, 1941, the case was closed. Released early on November 27, 1943 from the Kargopol ITL of the NKVD as a disabled person. After his release, he lived in Michurinsk, Tambov Region, and worked as the head of the planning department of the Rosglavplodoovoshch plant; arrested on July 15, 1949, on charges of conducting anti-Soviet agitation; sentenced by the OS under the USSR MGB on October 29, 1949 under Art. 58-10 part 1, 58-11 to the link to settlement in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Released on September 28, 1954. Died 02/11/1968. Rehabilitated in cases of 1937 and 1949 by the Presidium of the Arkhangelsk Regional Court on June 16, 1956.
