Genus. in 1881 in Aleksandrovsk (now Zaporozhye); Jew; higher education. One of the most prominent figures among the Mensheviks of Donkrivbass, a brilliant orator; during the revolution of 1905 he was considered the labor leader of Poltava; in 1917 he headed the Ekaterinoslav Provincial Rada. Arrested [probably in Kharkov] 08/18/1920, recognized as a prominent and active member of the RSDLP and a member of the main committee, in connection with which it was decided to be kept in custody in a pre-trial prison until the case was considered by the Collegium of the Pupprchrezkom [possibly the Political Directorate of the Extraordinary Commission]. In 1937 he lived in Moscow, a pensioner; arrested 10/08/1937; sentenced by the Supreme Court of the USSR Armed Forces on March 15, 1938; shot 03/15/1938; burial place - Moscow, Butovo-Kommunarka. Rehabilitated in the case of 1920 by the Prosecutor's Office of the Kharkov region on August 16, 1999; in the case of 1937 - VC of the USSR Armed Forces 05/19/1959.
