Conscript soldier of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Lance Sergeant. On the night of September 20, 1986, together with his colleagues, Konoval A.B. and Yagmurdzhi S.V. They left the unit without permission, armed with a sniper rifle, a light machine gun and a Kalashnikov assault rifle. They seized a car and forced the driver to drive them to the airport. On the way, two police officers were shot. Upon arrival at the airport, a Tu-134A plane was hijacked, killing two passengers during the hijacking. Threatening to shoot the hostages, they demanded to fly to Pakistan. Killed during the assault.
