Genus. in 1879 in Tiflis, Russian, nobleman, higher education, married, lived in Leningrad, V.O., 5th line, no. 34, apt. 18. After graduating from the Naval School, he sailed on ships of the Baltic Fleet, participated in the Japanese War, and was captured. From 1916 he was the head of the Northern District of the Baltic Fleet Communications Service in Helsingfors, then head. district of Shlisselburg for communications. Since 1922, he held command positions in communications of the Baltic Fleet, then moved to serve in the Sovtorgflot. On September 1, 1918, he was arrested by the Cheka in Petrograd and released in November. Arrested again on 01/05/1931 OO PP OGPU in the Leningrad Military District, accused of having connections with White emigrants and espionage for Germany while abroad. On March 26, 1931, he was released from custody due to the fact that “the investigation proved his non-involvement in the charges brought against him.”
