Genus. in 1881 in the village of Bolshaya Orda, Osinsky district, Perm province; from nobles; son of a forester; unfinished higher education: studied at the Forestry Institute, graduated from the St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute. Since 1899 in the revolutionary movement; since 1901 in the RSDLP, Bolshevik, delegate to the 5th Congress; in 1917 soldier, member of the Petrosoviet; Chairman of the Moscow Council of the SD. In 1919 he was secretary of the Ufa city committee of the RCP(b). In 1921-1922, the plenipotentiary of the RSFSR in Lithuania and Czechoslovakia, in 1925-1927 he was the director of the Industrial Academy, in 1927-1930 he was the rector of the Moscow State Technical University. N.E. Bauman. In 1937 he lived in Moscow, worked as the director of the Higher Academic Courses (VAK) of the commanders of the industry of the People's Commissariat for Heavy Industry of the USSR; arrested 12/10/1937; sentenced by the Supreme Commissariat of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on March 15, 1938 under Art. 58-6, 7, 10 and 11 and vv. 17-58-8 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to VMN with confiscation of property; shot 03/15/1938; burial place - Moscow region, Kommunarka. Rehabilitated by the USSR Armed Forces Commissariat on May 28, 1955.
